Thanks for getting in touch. My name is Gail and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurses on the Support Line.
Chemotherapy can affect your immune system, causing low immunity and so it’s important to be more cautious with your diet in order to avoid infection.
Eating a healthy balanced diet is important and this leaflet explains that, as well as which foods to avoid and how to ensure your food is stored properly. Breast Cancer Now also have some information which may help.
I see you joined our Breast Cancer Forum too, which is good, as the support and friendship of others going through similar can help.
