  • Hi

My name’s Vicky and I’m a Support Advisor here at Macmillan.  I’m so very sorry to hear of everything you’re going through, that’s too much for anyone to deal with at any one time, it’s no wonder you’re feeling so low.

Many people find that having someone to talk to, outside of their circle of family and friends, can be very therapeutic and I want you to know that the Macmillan Support Line is here for you, as a place you can contact privately and confidentially to talk through how you’re feeling and access emotional support. We are here every day of the week from 8 am - 8 pm on 0808 808 0000 or via web chat so please do consider giving us a call.

Losing someone close to you, especially a parent, can be one of the worst things we go through in life and that takes time to come to terms with such a loss.  With your husband’s diagnosis and your business concerns as well as supporting your children through everything too, it sounds like you may not have even had time to properly grieve the loss of your mum and I want you to know that although we're not bereavement counsellors Breath we’re here to help you through that too.   For more tailored support, Marie Curie has a lovely bereavement support service, it includes 6 telephone support sessions with trained volunteers, you can read about it here or you can give them a call to find out more on  0800 090 2309.

I hope this information is of some help to you Bresthe, please do consider giving us a call so that we can talk things through with you, I want you to know that you’re not alone in this and we’re here to support you in any way we can.

    Kindest regards,

    Vicky, Information and Support Adviser
