  • Hi  ,

It sounds like it's been a difficult time for yourself and your Wife, with her own cancer diagnosis and journey only to then be diagnosed yourself so it's understandable to feel the way you are right now, it must be something very hard to process at the moment.

If you have not yet been provided with contact details for a local Macmillan nurse for support during this time, you may find it helpful to speak to your care team or GP and request a referral. You can find out more here about what Macmillan nurses do.

You can also find out more about what support is in your area here on your 'In your Area' page. Or if you would like to let us know what area of the UK you are in, we would be happy to check and see what support may be available locally to you. Your care team may also be able to advise you of any support available in house where you receive your treatment.

We're also here at the Macmillan support line for emotional support and we're here to help point you in the best direction if you're unsure where to turn. So although we're not trained counsellors, we are always here to listen when you may need it every day between 8am and 8pm on 0808 808 0000. Just choose option 1 and then 1 again and you'll get through to our team.

I'll include some links you may also find helpful here  , the first is for our Bladder Cancer community support forum here as well as Action Bladder Cancer's patient support information here

I hope this is helpful for you, please do reach out to us when you may need to even if it's just to have a chat about how things are going.

    Take care,

    Rebecca - Macmillan
