Discriminated at work due to cancer diagnosis

Thank you for your getting in touch. I'm very sorry to hear of your belief that you have been discriminated against due to your cancer diagnosis, I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. I hope I can provide some information that may help you get the support you need with this matter.

Firstly, may I ask if you have contacted ACAS, who have a free and confidential helpline for anyone that needs employment advice? If not, then you can call them on 0300 123 1100, they’re open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. You can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service for guidance too, their contact number is 0808 800 0082 and they are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm.

You ask about cancer friendly support groups for employment tribunals so please reach out to one of our local support centres who may be able to advise if they are aware of any groups who offer this type of support.
