Hi

my name is shameem ara and I am a breast cancer patient.

i am from Pakistan and i came in uk 20 September 2023 through Company name Kinver care. I have paid my tax I was working during my treatment also everything was good but now 17 March 2025 company suddenly closed due to the some issues.

i am worried about my visa because I am still on treatments and I don’t know what will happen tomorrow.

I don’t have any job don’t know how I will pay my bills and regarding my sponsorship is there’s anyway where I can get sponsorship by charity? Someone can help me with that please I am really struggling financially and even I don’t know how to explain

  • Hello Shameem and thank you for contacting the online community.

I’m sorry to hear this is happening, I appreciate it must be very unsettling to be having cancer treatment and suddenly losing your job. Do you have much support in the UK, people you can talk to you about what’s happening and how you’re feeling?

We have a number of breast cancer forums where you can speak to others who are going through something similar, share experiences & support, discuss treatment options, side effects & more.

Our team of Money Advisers can speak to you about what kind of financial support might be available. They will need information about your income, outgoings and any savings/investments you might have.

We don’t specialise in support around visas and sponsorship, but I hope you find the links below helpful.

    gov.uk - Visas & Immigration

gov.uk - Visa sponsorship jobs in the UK

    Citizens Advice - Immigration

Citizens Advice - Find your local service

Our team of cancer specialist nurses are here on the support line if you have any clinical questions you’d like to ask about your diagnosis or treatment.

We’re also here for your emotional support Shameem. Cancer can bring up all sorts of feelings and it can be helpful to talk about these to try and process what’s happening.
