Hi No.67,
When it comes to counselling, sometimes the first service that's best to reach out to is your GP, they can help you to access local counselling support and talking therapies, on a confidential basis. You can also see what may be available locally through the NHS as well as accessing self-help services here
MIND is another service who may also be able to help support in some way, you can find out more about the guidance they can offer here
If you're looking to self-fund counselling sessions, you can look for qualified and certified practitioners through the BACP here many who offer counselling through phone, online and video calls as well as face to face.
No.67 although not trained counsellors, we're also here at the macmillan support line to talk things through when you may need the space or someone to listen, and we're also here for guidance if you're unsure where to turn. You can get through to us on 0808 808 0000 and choose option 1 and 1 again, every day between 8am until 8pm.
Sometimes we can suggest other services that may also be able to help in some way - if you'd like to know more and are happy to tell us further about your personal situation please get back to us here or by phone and we'll be happy to see what else is available that could be suitable.
I hope this has been helpful for you today.
Rebecca,
