Does anyone have any information on online virtual support group for carer. My husband had cancer and I am not coping well. I need help. I want something live and interactive. On zoom or Skype or something similar.

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s diagnosis and that you feel you’re not coping well.   It’s great that you’re here on the Online Community and you may find others in a similar situation that you can chat with.  If you haven’t already, you may want to have a look at the following groups – the Carers only forum and the Family and friends forum.  You could ask the other members there where they have found live virtual support.

The Penny Brohn UK organisation offer zoom sessions for anyone affected by cancer. You can find out more about them by following the above link.

There are also Macmillan support groups and it may be helpful to contact your nearest centre to find out what they offer or what is available local to you.  You can find your local support by inputting your postcode to Macmillan website -In Your Area Search.  While many groups may be in person, there may be some you can access online and those who work at the centres are usually aware of other options, too.

The Macmillan Support Line is here for you, whether you’re worried about money or practical issues, have questions about treatment, or just want someone to listen.
