Hi NanaQueen
My name is Linda and I am one of the Work Support Advisers at Macmillan Cancer Support.
I see that your question relates to whether your husband is entitled to free prescriptions if he has a Cancer diagnosis.
The Work Support Team’s area of expertise is advising on employment law, so I’m unable to answer your specific question. We do however have a team of Macmillan Welfare Rights advisers who would be happy to answer your question and also check if there are any benefits you can claim yourself, or advise of any other sources you or your husband may be able to gain financial support from. Unfortunately, the team currently aren’t available on our Online Community, but they are available either to speak to on the phone, via webchat or via email. You can speak to them by calling 0808 808 0000 from Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm and weekends from 9am until 5pm by selecting option 1, followed by option 2 and option 2. You might also find it useful to prepare for your contact with them by viewing our webpages that explain what information you need.
I do hope this offers you the support you are looking for. Please do contact us again if you feel there’s any other help we can offer.
Kind Regards
Linda
