Hello
Thank you for your message.
I’m so pleased to hear that you’ve now re-gained your driving licence and hope that you’re keeping well.
Regarding no claims discounts/bonus it would really depend on who your insurance provider was, and what period of time has passed since you last had cover. You do mention that it has been two years.
Most insurance providers normally state a no claims discount would be invalid if there’s a break in your car insurance of two years or more. However, that said, some insurers can be up to three years.
I would suggest contacting your insurer and discuss with them. If you’re comfortable you can explain to them the reason for the break in car insurance cover as they may take this into consideration.
I hope this helps you but if you need any more help please do let me know.
If there’s anything else you need support with, such as information on paying a mortgage or accessing a pension, please don’t hesitate to contact us again. It is quicker for you to use our webchat facility available here Click ‘Chat to Us’ at the bottom right of the screen.
Kind regards,
Sheena
