Our Welfare Rights Team will be able to answer this but they are currently not available on Ask an Expert. To speak to them, you’d either need to call them on 0808 808 0000, Option 1, then 2, then 2 again, or use webchat by clicking ‘Chat to Us’ at the bottom right of the screen. They are available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and weekends 9am to 5pm.

In the meantime, for further information on the Adult Disability Payment, here are the latest details from the Scottish government - Disability Assistance - Social security - gov.scot (www.gov.scot)

Take care Di, and hope that you’re soon strong enough for your stem cell transplant.

    Kind regards.
