Hi - apologies if this is not the correct area for posting. I've read all of the information on the Macmillan website regarding different types of private medical cover (moratorium and full underwriting) and the issues with obtaining private medical insurance after a diagnosis (i.e. pre-existing medical consitions).

I just wanted to know if anyone has any successful experience of obtaining private medical insurance after a cancer diagnosis (mine is bladder cancer) with an insurer?

Many thanks

    Hello

    Thanks for getting in touch.

You can start a discussion or post your question in the bladder cancer group on our online community here.

Financial Guides can explain the information you’ve read on our website and go into a bit more depth on how the policies work. We’re unable to offer any insight on the likelihood of someone getting private medical insurance as each application will be assessed and underwritten individually on its own merits.

If you have any questions about how private medical insurance works or need any further clarification on what you’ve read so far then please reply or give us a call on 0808 808 0000, we’re option 1, then 2 and then 1 again.

    Kind regards,

    Liam.
