Hi everyone, it's Megan here from Macmillan's Online Community team. I wanted to let you all know that one of our lovely Community Champions jane2511 has written a blog about the support she received from her cats when having treatment. As members of the group and being fellow animal lovers, you may find it comforting to read Jane's story.
The importance of our pets during our cancer journey blog has been shared in our Community news blog which you can read by clicking the link.

I just read Jane’s story about her cats. I completely understand. Two weeks before I was told that I had a secondary spread, my youngest dog decided that he was going to stay in my room at night. He had slept quite happily with my older dog for 4 years. That coincided with my scan! When I wake during the night he is there to comfort me and seems to be on high alert for when that happens. Only other pet owners understand the bond we develop with our animals.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
