I am keen to hear others' experience of travelling abroad without health insurance but only using a European health card. The quotes I have had for private insurance are unaffordable - cheapest £600 for 11 days in Spain.

On Wednesday 21st my mum was told she has gullet and bone cancer. She said that the dr's said she has 2 1/2 yrs to live, but my sister who is a nurse said she has 9 months. They were both there when she was told, wh do I believe my mum or my sister?
