Following chemotherapy for secondary breast cancer in my bones, I am in the middle of 4 cycles of Zometa infusions and am suffering quite severe pain in my lower back and hips. The pain is being countered to some extent by pain relief but I am anxious to know if these side effects are common and how long after completion of the treatment are they likely to stop. I am also anaemic which leaves me so weak that I am practically housebound with no energy at all so hope that my condition will quickly improve once the infusions are over, though I expect to be on Zometa in tablet form for who knows how long. Can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks IreneW
