Blogging Awards? Really? I know!

1 minute read time.

Okay so the other thing that is going on is that, with the support of many of you already, my Website for Inane Nonsense, otherwise known aswww.whothehelldoeshethinkheis.com has been shortlisted by the Britmum's website for their, (get this) '2014 Brilliance in Blogging Awards', in the (get this) 'Inspire' category.

As I said right at the beginning, I didn't even intend for the website to become a blog. I'm not interested in writing a daily diary of banal details of medication and treatment, but the unavoidable impact of my illness and terminal prognosis has obviously influenced a lot of what I have written about so far.

Originally the idea was keep friends and family in the loop, but I soon found many strangers in the same neoplastic boat writing to me thanking me for writing these articles. Often it's just a case of recognition; they realise they aren't the only scared, confused, guilty, etc., person going through what they are. With that in mind I decided to push the website in any way I can, and if it reaches and helps one more person then it is a good thing.

Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there though and to keep the site in the running for the award and wider exposure, we need you to vote again by clicking this link. It's actually very quick. Name, e-mail, tick, enter. That's it. One person, One vote. It's like a democracy or something!

To be honest, when I look at the other sites in the same category, I'd be amazed if they awarded us the gong, especially with the irreverent rants that spew forth from my keyboard, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, right?

There is also a link at the bottom of thewww.whothehelldoeshethinkheis.com homepage and on the sidebars if you want to use those instead.

Anyway, thanks again, I appreciate all your support

    Morning Eamonn,

Wow! That's pretty darn impressive - but not surprising because your blog's fantastic :)

You've got my vote - I'll be sending the link round, and also keeping my fingers crossed.

    Thanks so much Laura.

To be honest I'm surprised they even considered it for their awards as Britmum's website is all about parenting and as hard as it can be, I have tried to keep my family out of it as much as possible. If anything it's a cancer blog, there really aren't many other nominees that are similar, most of them seem to be about baking or something:-)

Still if it gives wider exposure, and by doing so helps a single person even in a small way then all the better.

    Thanks again for your support!
