Good morning...
thank goodness for the nhs walk in centre. its not somewhere that i want to be a regular but i know the names of all the nurses now!
fortunately it was a case of looking worse than it actually was. the nurse wasnt impressed with my trial day back at work leaving home at 6.30am, a busy day at work and getting home at 7pm. the tubigrip was a total mess of different fluids and soaking!
photos below actually showthe problems with tubi grip is that is slips and rucks up and has caused some swelling around the ankle and top of the foot. so we decided on single instead of double tubigrip and i have been told to keep pulling it up so it doesnt ruck.....and yes... even if i am at work!!
back at walk in centre sunday and monday if needed then PDC on wednesday.
i think looking back at all the photos, everyone will agree the wound is healing really well now and i can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. its still very number around the wound but i have been told its normal but to watch out for cuts and bruises and sores as i wont feel them. appointment with chiropodist next week but the 50% cream they give me is fantastic.
thanks everyone, hope you are well and i look forward to comments etc
peter
