sunday 12th sept - visit to the walk in centre as worried about the redness around the wound - is only contact dermatitis but the nurses have swabbed the wound to check for infections. wound is healing well but there are some areas at the top of the wound still open. told to stop the aquacell, although good for catchin...g the fluid it can also cause overgranulation, something we fought to stop 4 months ago. will get the swab result on thursday and hopefully will be negative for infection.

What a wound healing journey you have had Peter, - I know it will heal, but is taking a long time, - I do think the lymphodaema has had a lot to do with the problems as you say, - I had over-granulation with my wound and the nursing staff hit it with silver nitrate each time, and it seemed to work, -

that redness round the wound looks very sore, -

you should have the results soon and then they can treat with whatever is necessary.
