SNB set back today

hi peter,im fine at mo,doing all the normal things,(sometimes quite difficult to write on here as i dont like my hubby/+son to see me as they get worried they find the whole cancer thing too upsetting)my son is 12 and very sensitive,anyway i hope your doing better and the infection is clearing,,and that your getting the best care,i was very lucky in that sense mine was much more straight forward,just the clearence and skin grafts,mine was on my foot so on crutches for ages,then 9yrs later it decided to come back,very unlucky ,lol,but good that im 1yr post op so maybe thats the end of it but who knows,this is the thing with mm it has a mind of its own,just always be aware ,look for small lumps as i wasnt told they come back as a small pea like tumour ,i was a bit thick!!! i thought theyd show as a mole or freckle but they dont ,very unpredictable.anyway peter ,hope your feeling better than you were a couple of days ago,take care,mazz x.

hey mazz.... hope eveything goes well for you all... its a worrying time... i have to admit mum and dad have been great even though they have their own set of health issues they come to my rescue as i have to theirs on many occasions over the last 3 years. the 2 macmillan nurses at st georges have been amazing too.. i dont know if you had one assigned to you or not but i found them instrumental in my education over the last 2 months and either or both of them have been available at all my appointments and e mails are always replied to promptly.

today i have to say i feel a lot lot better, i guess the antibiotics are doing their job and as the SHO said to me yesterday its good the puss is better out than in. had to redress it last nigth.. ok... got mum out of bed at 5am as its in a place someone else can dress better. but its looking a lot better no in the groin and i hope it wont flare up again. i have an appointment at the PDC tomorrow for WLE site to be redressed so they will look at the groin again

the doner site is now pretty much clear. i will take more pics tomorrow... i havent grossed anyone out for a long time ah ahahah

Glad to hear the groin is improving (I'll avoid any non-PC comments . . . . ) and the donor site is clear. Fingers crossed for improvement today on the WLE site.

I should have been flying out to Cyprus today to start a cruise down to Egypt and Israel - but it was not to be. I don't want to lie in the sun, just walk around without being bundled up in coat / hat / scarf / ear muffs / boots / etc. Consolation is Hubby and I are off to a Warners weekend break in Lowestoft on Friday, not quite the same but hey! its a break.

good luck peter,it sounds like you've got through it and turned the corner,everyday youll see an improvement,sounds like youve got great support too.i have a mac nurse but dont need to really talk to her as im only monitoring now but if im concerned over anything shes there.i think ive been quite lucky in that ive got a whole year clear behind me already,ill relax a bit more after 1 more has passed,( saying that i had 9yrs first time round)so i do feel very lucky as i know others are less fortunate.keep as happy as you can and your half way there, take care mazz x
