14th JUNE DRESSINGS CLINIC (graphic pics)

1 minute read time.

HI everyone...

the wound is a lot better now and today i can honestly see a light at the end of the tunnel. Lyphoedema is my next battle but as for the wound its close to healing. they think another 2 weeks and it should be dry and i can finally get into a lympho stocking...

so we are still doing the prontosan soak and the fucibet but now applying foam pads to the non healed areas. vaseline is protecting the good skin and jelonet is keeping it from drying up. then the tubinet and double tubigrip over an xupad.

another dressings appiointment this week and a check up with the consultant on friday morning to tell me and ultimately my boss how i am doing and how much of a week or day i should be working...

anyway... other than having my facebook disabled for no reason i can think of, everything is getting better...

hope everyone is good

Looking much better Peter, - I reckon you and I between us could now advise how to dress a surgical cavity for melanoma.

The edges of your cavity look very good, and once they can get that centre bit ok you will be there.

It has been an incredible journey for you and I wish I had had the courage to photograph mine, as following your story has been extremely interesting.

One of these days I'll send you a pic of what mine looks like now, one of these days.....

    All the best

    xxLynn
