Well I for one love helping others when I am in control of my brain and not the other way around.
In chat yesterday I feel I made a difference to a few new members then last night again in chat I made some comments that made people smile that is the sort of thing that makes my day I went to bed feeling that I was needed in this world and I do have something that I can share with other other than complaints, I felt good and slept well Bless you all !!

Some days I find I am overwhelmed by the sadness of others on this site and I can't find the strength to offer support but other days I find something useful (I think!) to say and yes, then I feel useful too. But then, that's the reason we're here - to support one another.
If you can make just one miserable person smile, I guess you're prolonging their life a bit. I know what Kate means about being overwhelmed by sadness and I think to say something, however useless you might think it is, is better than nothing. Sometimes it's enough to know others are thinking about you.
