The wait for meds was not so bad today and neither was the whole 'getting out of bed and getting to the loo' first thing. The pain has been less and the meds have for pain and nausea have kicked in, I'm feeling more comfy than I have been for the last two days at the same time of day.
I am now at the stage when I can tolerate and enjoy a coffee, a point I look forward too. Coffee makes me pee, as does the dex ,so have to be on my feet but an extra trip or two for me is worth it. There are lots of things that have gone by the wayside but my first cup of coffee and a second one in the morning while I'm at home, nope, not putting up with that.
Dex for me has been one med that I have got on well with, without it I am not sure how I could get through. I like to slip in the phrase as often as I can, 'the joy of dex' and there are some people who snigger. It is part of the combo of meds for the sickness and nausea, the rashes and inflammatory responses.
It is good for my brain fog. Given that brain fog was a big problem for me prior to cancer and chemo. This has been a perk, more than that. That is such an understatement. I wouldn't be writing this without it my brain would be mush. Having this level of cognitive ability to put paragraphs together and the energy it would take to invest in it, wasn't something I could have imagined doing a little over year ago with 'just' the long covid. At a time when more head space was needed I got it and I 'm just so thankful for it.
Today I 'm looking forward to stuffed vine leaves, a favourite of mine.
I m putting some money over to Dana so she and Kit's Papa can pick up treats and activity things for the weekend there for Kit from Nana. I will get pics and will love that. Ice cream is on the cards.
I am really disappointed not to be seeing them but as it is unavoidable due to weather anyway, everyone is doing the right and sensible things. It has made it less frustrating as in it doesn't feel quite so personal.
I hope you have a good day for you.
