Hi My name is Claire (wildman123) i am 37 years old, and i had to watch my mum go through kidney cancer and AML at the same time she was so ill, and i found it so hard to watch i spent months spending everyday at the hospital, and now i am totally lost, my life seems to have come to a stop, i have no intrest in anything anymore all i want is my mum back how long will i feel like this, unhappy, not sleeping, and no fun to be with,

Hi Claire,

All though it will be hard . Its time for a time out for yourself,otherwise you will make yourself ill and not capable of looking after your Mum. So do yourself a favour and take a couple of Days off to recharge the Batteries.The Nurses will look after your Mum until

you feel up to going back. All the best look after yourself too.

sad thing is claire no one can say how long you will feel the way you do...

everyone is different...

if your feeling so down maybe you need to have a chat with your gp and hopefully he / she will be able to help..
