My wife's name is M** (Am I allowed to say? we don't mind). M** is disabled and unable to type this, as she doesn't have full use of her hands. So, this is M**'s story, told by me. M** was born in Walsall, West Midlands, in September 1972. It's easier saying it that way, otherwise I'd have to update M**'s age on this website every year. We have been and still are a very happily married couple since 2004. M** has never smoked, doesn't drink, never even been drunk, never worked with chemicals. So it came as a shock when M** was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 52.
M** didn't feel any different, nor did she have any symptoms, at least she didn't think she had. M**'s doctor told her she was losing blood, not a noticeable amount, but they didn't know where from. So she was sent for a colonoscopy procedure.
