Today. I should have been attending UCHL. to be assessed for a Cystectomy. all week I have been waiting for a phone call or letter confirming this appointment. none came. so I took It upon myself to find out why.
My god! what a fiasco. I phoned UCHL to find out why I had not been Informed about the appointment. they had never heard of me. they put me through to the clinic. they had never heard of me. after two hour's of being passed from one department to another I gave up. I sat back and had a cup of tea ( not supposed to drink tea) ( another pleasure taken away ) I thought phone Barts. to my utter shock and surprise I got through straight away. I explained the situation to the very nice lady at reception and she put me through to my consultant's secretary...who had gone to dinner. so I called back an hour and a half later. going through the whole rigmarole again. I explained again!! to the secretary about my appointment. she apologised and said she would get my consultant to ring me back to explain. I waited by the phone another two hour's before she called.

Can I talk to Mr Selwyn. I am Mr Selwyn. couldn't get an appointment with Mr Kelly until the 17th. I will arrange CPEX for next week will write to confirm. goodbye Mr Selwyn
And that was It. I spent five and a half hour's waiting just for a twenty second one sided conversation. everything Is now put back one week. she told me It was urgent. I have no symptom's. I feel well. why would she say It was urgent and then put everything back. I only went to the toilet four time's last night. a few week's ago I was going three time's an hour. so something must be going right. how can I be feeling so well and yet have to face such an operation. what Is going on!
