Sing along....

Less than one minute read time.

On the twelfth day of Christmas

My Onco’ offered me…

Twelve lymph-nodes hosting,

Eleven radio’s toasting,

Ten short hairs boasting,

Nine deep veins hiding,

Eight cells dividing,

Seven nails all cracking,

Six chemo’s smacking…

Five co’old things…

Four sleeping pills,

Three night chills,

Two morphine thrills,

And a sponge where my boob used to be…

It is Christmas and ten years ago I was about to be diagnosed with breast cancer (6th January 2005) so here is my “carol” for thanksgiving…

Thanks to you all!  I got the easy ride, ten years on and my life is the better for it.  I think a lot about those of you who are in the scary stages, try to find something that makes you smile, even for a little time -laughter makes the darkest corners seem brighter!  Now I try to write so that more people will know the truth -but then I have been lucky! x
