Less than one minute read time.

So. EC-T and a portacath to be arranged.

Tests to do and mid May will see the start of apparently a 10 year treatment.... I knew it wouldn't be a quick 3/4 months like my 1st go round but TEN YEARS ?

Drugs -

EPIRUBICIN & CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE every three weeks, four cycles

DOCETAXEL/PACLITAXEL every week for twelve weeks

I'm not nervous at all... Much!

Love and hugs to all xxx

  • Tuesday had my ECG & portacath fitted. That was a unusual experience. I knew it would be a guise wire being inserted, so it would show on the pics for placement.

But completely forgot sound affects. It's a tight spiral wire so as it was fed in it vibrated right next to my ticklish ear... They were fiddling with my jugular vein and I VERY nearly got the giggles. That could have got interesting.

Anyhow, first chemo down. Kicked the babysitter out and sent her home. Day 1-3 and feel ok so... But for how long?

Keep well everyone (and that's a order!) Love & hugs xxx

  • So, yesterday chemo1 + 4 days the mouth sores started.

I emailed my GP, like I was told this morning, (1+5), I've got an appointment in 40/45 minutes.

Flew out the front door with half a cup of coffee and about 2 mouthfuls of porridge.(£6 for cab) Then sat in the waiting room for a hour...

No temp. BP etc all fine BUT. Querying sepsis so here's a letter, off you pop to A+E. (Another £11) And another waiting room.

Gave the letter over & my chemo alert card 10 minutes later, called to triage. Put in a separate room to wait. 15/20 minutes later, bloods were done. And then, a four hour wait with me occasionally going and checking that anyone is still out there & alive.

At some point, a angel appeared. It was the tea trolley, with biscuits... I actually called her a angel to her face. It was by then 2:30. Diabetic and barely eaten all day.

Went and queued up again. "Terribly sorry but how much longer?". "Oh. But you've been seen haven't you?” Huh? HUH?

Within 10 minutes doctor came & found me, your bloods were ok.Just use a mouthwash xyz. Off you pop. (Another £15 cab)

Could have been home 3/4 hours before. Love the NHS but seriously?

And my mouth STILL HURTS. I'm using Difflam, Corsodyl & salt water depending on where I am in the house.

    Any advice?
