Jeez, what a palaver. Because I live a simple sounding journey away from the hospital BUT several hours on various public transport ways and have mobility issues I need to be picked up from chemo. I'm fine getting there, it's the after they (family not hospital) are worrying about.
Had a 10 minute doc appt before my 1st chemo, apparently I hadn't consented to having toxic chemicals poured into me... Spent longer talking about "arrangements".
Yes. As far as they could , all my chemo appointments would be on day A & B.... 24/48 hours later and 3 other Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide appointments and my Docetaxel 1st appointment (from what I can figure out) have come down in the app and leave & behold, as if by magic NONE OF MY CHEMO IS ON THE ARRANGED DAY! Who'd have guessed. Friday my daughter spent the day trying to explain Cancer Appointments to her employer. They are perfectly fine about her working from my house, every now & then. Even sent extra equipment but they need to know what days. Saying she's in the hands of the foibles of the NHS doesn't work as a reasonable excuse. I almost gave permission in blood for her employer to deal with the hospital direct but not a reasonable way out ...
Left them too it, she can be sheer beeping minded given a good excuse. I just hope she has a job at the end!
Hey ho? Keep well everyone (and that's a order!) Love & hugs xxx
