Feel lost alone but have daughter 5 mins away another 45 mins away eldest passed away August bank holiday moved house new area now this wife has brain lung cancer not long there said months been 7weeks now can't talk to daughters as will upset them plus there to are finding it hard to cope so don't really won't to bother them with my feelings don't know what to do in this new house alone

  • Just remember you're not alone. There's lots of people on this site thinking of you. Have you been offered counselling? A lot of oncology units have counsellors, not just for the patient but for the family as well. I found a couple of sessions very helpful, its good to chat to a stranger, you can weep and moan as much as you like!!

    No counselling yet as it's hard to leave wife on own for to long and can't really talk on phone as she is always here with me and don't won't to talk in front of her it's not nice.

Help us do whatever it takes, because we’ve never been needed more.
