Wednesday 1st February.
Today I got up feeling niggly, actually I'd been awake since 4am and didn't get to sleep until well after 1am, that could explain why, damn those steroids. Oh and the hot flushes I was getting all night too.
Hubby must have picked up on it although I was trying to be normal, he phoned his friends and arranged a time to visit and see the new puppy they got on Sunday. We'd decided last night we probably wouldn't go as the weather was going to be bad and we wanted take the dogs to the beach while we were there. But he said we'd wrap up and go anyway. I'm so glad we went, I took the rest of the scones and jam and cream with us and we sat fussing the puppy with them for ages. I felt really happy, he's a gorgeous snoodle, poodle cross schnauzer.
Then we did have a nice beach walk as the sun had come out, the waves were crashing in on the beach, it's amazing the power of fresh air on the mood, then we went to some waterfalls and had lunch out. Didn't get back till 4.30pm and to cap the day off Hubby cooked the dinner! I was feeling 'normal' again and very grateful to have a husband who still cares so much after 29 years and 8 months of marriage (not that I'm counting but it is a big one this year!)
So all in all a good day. Going to have to get some work done tomorrow though. Holiday makers will be here on Friday.
Stop this ride...I want to get off!!!
