I've been involved in a little bit of fundraising since we lost Daniel and it's always made me feel just slightly better. It's lovely to hold an event that honours his memory and also raises money to support a cause that really helped him while he was here. Planning big events isn't easy though and when Daniel died my youngest baby was only 5 months old so I didn't have a whole bunch of free time. We do what we can. She…

It's been nearly 2 years since we lost Daniel and the pain is just as raw. The funeral has passed and there have been many charity fundraisers in his name since he left, but lately I've been starting to feel as though I need something more with which to remember him. We've lost him.  He's gone.  I can hardly believe my last post was only 2 months ago and whilst things didn't look good, I could never have imagined this would be my next post.

He caught an infection and had to stop all chemo while he fought it, and obviously, well, he just couldn't.

    I can't believe he's no longer with us.  I really can't.

    Hi,

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but we've had some bad news.  After the results of Daniel's PeT scan after his round of treatment at Christmas, the doctors told him that they were no longer treating to cure his cancer, but to prolong his life.  They also said he could have as little as two years to live.

Daniel, being Daniel, hasn't let even this affect him.  He's still totally motivated…

  • Fingers crossed we're nearly there . . .

Well, some delays in his treatment (usually REALLY annoying) meant that Daniel did not have to spend Christmas day in hospital :)  So thank goodness my surprises didn't come off!

And hopefully he's coming to the end of his stretch of treatment.  His final planned chemo session finished at the end of January and he should be starting radio in the next couple of days which will last about 2.5 weeks.  Then it'll be…
