I think fundraising might really help me heal.

1 minute read time.

I've been involved in a little bit of fundraising since we lost Daniel and it's always made me feel just slightly better. It's lovely to hold an event that honours his memory and also raises money to support a cause that really helped him while he was here. Planning big events isn't easy though and when Daniel died my youngest baby was only 5 months old so I didn't have a whole bunch of free time. We do what we can. She's bigger now and I'm starting to feel like I want to do more. If I can raise large amounts of money to support cancer charities in Daniel's honour, then he will not have died in vain. I think he would approve. He did lot's of fundraising while he was here.

So. I'm planning my first large event. Daniel loved outdoor activities and I found a great activity centre that offer amongst other things, go karting, off road driving, motocross and battlefield live. I've put together a list of their activities alongside challenges I've thought off and I'm trying to get as many people to sign up for a challenge as possible. I will set up a collective fundraising page for all so we can pool our efforts. Daniel had many friends so I think this could get really big. The plan is for everybody to attend the activity centre on the same day to complete their challenges and have a big party afterwards.

But I'm stuck for what to name this event? Ideas anyone?
