    Hi Penney_Ann,

Welcome to the Mac Community, the club no-one wanted to join....

Watch and Wait is used in quite a lot of cancer types. It can be worrying when you get a cancer diagnosis and everything in you says please get rid of it and the specialists just want to watch while you wait (very nervously)

There is good reason behind this as the last thing they would wish on you is surgery or harsh cancer treatments that turn out to be un-needed. As long as it isn't an aggressive type - in which case they wouldn't wait anyway.

There is some information about Watch & Wait starting [page 40 in this Macmillan booklet Understanding NHL (clickable link) which includes B-Cell.

You may also want to check out and join the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Group here. When you are ready just select New Discussion and post an intro asking whatever questions or concerns you have. A regular member will soon reply to support and advise.

Hope this helps you settle in here, take care, George & Jackie (breast group)

Not sure if I am on the correct blog, but could anyone tell me whether I should be given a blood test when I go for my 6 monthly checkups. When I had my last check up (not a mammagram) I told the doctor I had stopped taking Tamoxifen because it had affected my eyesight. I am 71 years of age and had a Stage 1 tumour removed 2 years ago (no lymph glands affected). I was willing to put up with the aches and pains and flashes, but not my eyesight. When I told the doctor this he merely said I should try another type of medication and suggested Arimidix, but I had tried that more than 12 months ago and found it side affects intolerable. I have researched medications on here and see there are other alternatives, but the doctor said he could only offer me Tamoxifen or Arimidix,so, therefore, I haven't taken anything for over 2 months now. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

    Sue
