My wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December 2012, which was followed with 6 sessions of chemo and 15 sessions of RT. She had a lump of about 25mm on her left breast and the lump was removed. This cancer had hormone positive receptors and following the treatment she was put on a hormone suppression drug. For the next few years things were fine. Her mammogram was clear last December. Then in March this year she noticed a change in the skin of her left breast she went to her GP who referred her to the local breast screening clinic. Samples were taken and tested and the following week it had been confirmed that she had Breast cancer. This was a different one as it was hormone negative receptors and a grade 2 the first being grade 3. She had a mastectomy a few weeks later and later the remainder of her lymph nodes were remove as one had cancer cells. We are now waiting to see which chemo regime she will be on.
