Hello,  so sorry to hear you feel so bad.  I am three years out from my last treatment for breast cancer.  I also had a fib and had severe congestive heart failure do to afib caused by chemo.  I thought the side effects from heart failure were a lot harder than chemo.  I could barely move and got so I couldn’t eat.  The good news is I do feel good now.  I have to work at it everyday to stay feeling good.  Start slowly walking and try and increase your distance every day.  By slow I mean walking from your bed to the kitchen might be all you do.   It took me two years to get so I could do 2 miles.  The last couple of months I have pushed myself and am up to 5 miles at about 17 minute miles.  I am almost feeling normal!  It has not been easy and I still get down but feel I have taken positive steps to increase my heart function and with the strength I have gotten from walking feel like I am going to be at least ok. Also...when I got so I couldn’t eat and started fading fast I decided I had to figure out how to swallow and eat.  I started eating something real soft and easy to swallow like part of a banana or a couple of spoons of yogurt every 2 hours.  I just made myself slowly do this.  It might take me 1/2 an hour to east a couple of bites but I just kept working on it.  You just have to get your throat used to swallowing again.  It took me a couple of weeks before I stopped loosing weight and was eating enough.  You will get better but need to slowly actively help yourself get better.  You probably will always have heart problems but can take control and help you feel better.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.  I will pray for you and send strength to you in my prayers.

Rubyduby, Thankyou so much for your comment, it has given me hope. I will try your suggestions,  I have found that the crohns hasn't helped, giving me stomach pains, but seems to be easing. The heart nurse seems to think that is the main problem, but I'm waiting for the doctors report. I can manage the stairs slowly, and breakfast, but too much at once is bad. I am sleeping a lot, everything wears me out, and have little enthusiasm for much, but I'm sure it will come. Once again Thankyou.

    Maria.

Hi all. Just reading your posts Maria and Rubyduby has helped me today. I was diagnosed with T cell NHL last year and have had radiotherapy and Chemo and lost my hair. It’s growing again now thank goodness. Curly and grey though. I also have my IBS kicking in and few weeks ago had sharp pain in my knee. Had X-ray. Dr thinks it’s bakers cyst. Very painful. Keep feeling very weak and sick. No energy and so down. Can’t seem to get out of this hole I am in. Thank you for listening. Lots of hugs xxx
