The weekend / Hypochondria?

2 minute read time.

well that was a disappointing weekend. Start with the rugby, hopes and dreams are all it was after all. not a good display from most of the players out there, inconsistent selection, not bringing our best players to the World Cup and no identity. What are we? Conservative or Expansive? Seem to play different dependent on which players are on the field, surely just pick a style pick the players to suit that style and then commit to us performin that style better not matter which team we are up against. still look forward to seeing the rest of the tournament everyone else has performed really well from Georgia  to Japan to wales  etc..

so plan was to make the long drive on Sunday to see friends daughtears christening the usual thoughts off can I make such a drive, there will be a lot of people and a lot of babies is to much risk go through your mind. But needn't have worried wake up at 3 crazy stomach cramps, haven't been going to toilet normally last week and had been unwell on thursday. take some  Movicol, get a couple more hours sleep then wake up and go toilet. Smells like something died and I am still in lot of pain, so they keep stressing how important it is to call

ring the chemo unit, doesn't sound serious as not temperature but worth seeing a gp

ring 111, yes come see gp sounds like constipation but just to be safe

gp, could be a stomach bleed so A&E to do bloods

A&E, you're a chemo patient well you may be suffer neutropenia sepsis so run antibiotics even though no temperature and no blood results yet. Blood results show neutropenic, as 0.7 I explain this is my new normal based on all blood tests I get. Surgeon gives me the full body exam about 3 hours in,(I managed to take a nap:)), checks with haematology and they suggest monitoring more fluids apparently my heart had been at jogging pace, and a couple of hours monitoring for any temperature spike.

i get my own room, 2 hours later can I get let go?, trying to track down dr, another 1hour and they agree I can go if I want to... Hell yeah only came in to be cautious

Pain had definitely subsided more a case of infrequent waves now. So most likely just wasted 7-8 hours because of constipation! although they did say maybe it was viral gastroenteritis. Needless to say I am truly fed up with the is this strange feeling a problem? thoughts. Do I ring them? Am I just wasting time?

A&E vs Christening think I know what I would have rather done.

    sounds like an eventful weekend.

I know I often ummmed and ahhhhed over whether to call or not knowing full well how slow the cogs work but equally knowing how ill it is possible to get.

Hopefully you won't have to do it again.

ps I am glad I support Wales ;)

good luck against oz, they do seem to hold a spell over Wales. Still with hooper cited after the missed yellow card against us (not bitter) chances are far improved

yeah it does seem that it's really the temperature that really needs monitoring.
