so, the first week relatively flew by and 2 more chemo drugs on day8 followed by home injections for 9-13.
so the usual parking nightmare, sit for 10 mins queueing for the smallest car park but on time for chemo. Issue putting cannula into hand and so second attempt done on inner fore arm. To think I was blacking out at the sight of a needle a few years ago, this has helped me get over one fear. All smooth from there and out pretty much within 90 mins much more positive than before.
Day 9 last minute clinical appointment to get sign off for course 2, literally have to park and n a residential street and walk in. Starting to feel like need to arrive 30mins before appt just to account for parking. Not feeling best, headaches, sore throat, sinuses feeling heavy but what can you expect and dr agrees, chemo has its affect on the body. Manage to do the first home injections with no issue although i do have to stare and somehow enter a trance whereby not fully aware what I've done.
wake up with sweats and stomach cramping, physically unwell. Head is banging, the best example is a bad hangover. Ring Chemo unit and they want me to get checked over, so in we go apparently I should of had antisickness pills for a bit longer. They want to connect me up, check bloods ... But today the needle is not my friend with not feeling good and the stress I completely pass out, apparently a special shade of white/green was achieved. At this point I insist on going home as just feel the stress is not going help me get better.
home, bed, sleep, pills and some normality returns. still tired, achey, but so much better next day.
Look forward to weekend, hopefully a decent England win, then Cornwall for a christening and catchup with friends.
