Omental thickening

Hi,

My mum has got lung cancer and it has spread to the lymph nodes. She was due for her chemo soon.Now she is feeling that her stomach is bloated. The ultrasonography of abdomen says moderate free fluid noted in abdomen and pelvis .Omental thickening noted... I am really worried... Can anyone please tell me if they have experienced this , what could be the cause and the treatments ...

I have seen it mentioned in a couple of posts in the past so you should get some replies about Oatmeal Thickening there.
