6th blog since my nanonife surgery in March 18

1 minute read time.

hello My 6th post.

it has now been 9 month since I had nanonife surgery at the princess grace hospital London.

All I have done since my op is to simply return to normal life but I have tried to get a fresh blood test done to check my PSA level every 2 months or so.

one week ago just at the start of November 2018 I had my latest PSA blood test and my result have been very positive. It came in at ( 1 )   Now that is a drop from a peak of ( 17 ) in January 2018.  I spoke to my consultant concerning these results and he agrees that this is a tremendous drop over the time period. My next move is to attend his surgery in March 2019 for a prostrate MRI scan. That will be my one year anniversary.

I do still suffer from a little fatigue at times that is after just a normal days work. I have become more likely to catch every cold that passes through my area. On the sexual front I am fully active and I have full sensation. But I must note that my erections are not as strong as pre operation. I have full bowel and urine control. So considering all these aspects I am now beginning to allow myself to start thinking more positively about my future.

If anyone is thinking about nanonife then I for one at this stage of my recovery am very pleased and very much encouraged by my recovery. I know the procedure is expensive. But with my recovery time being so short and my ability to live a fully active life with no real side issues I think it is worth that expense.

Firstly, don't believe everything you read on the internet. There are plenty of official medical booklets available at your local cancer department. It's easy to say, but try not to worry. If offered surgery, do not be afraid and try other treatments first. Just have it out. From seeing my surgeon, I only had to wait 6 days, as I said to phone me if there was a cancellation, and there was. Otherwise I could have opted for other treatment and still have problems.
