When I was diagnosed last November, I did get puzzled for a minute but the look in my colleagues put me back and I new exactly what I will do. As a professional counselor I used my environment as a shield. I was so grateful that so many people who knows are worrying so I don't have to worry about it. On my first results I already made a decision to have double mastectomy. I didn't want any immediate reconstruction. As an experienced breast cancer care team I have seen many people having complications after surgery. This was my turn to make my surgery as simple as I can. Before my surgery which I had two weeks to keep feet, I was in a gym everyday. I called it my keep fit for cancer week.
Well the results of my fitness showed after my surgery. My scars only took one week to heal. The following week my friend came come Australia to give me a Lymphatic drainage massage and taught me how to do it myself when she is gone. To me this was a blessing in disguised, I mean all of it.
