Just need a bit of reassurance. Quick background:
1. Age 48 female
2. Just tested positive for first time ever for high risk hpv
3. Colpo came back CIN2/3. Will be having LEEP procedure next week
4. I've never smoked, only drink socially occasionally and have not taken birth control since my late 20s
5. Have never missed a pap and have been test for HPV for 9 years. Again, this is my first positive.
6. Onlyhave ever had one sexual partner. Recently found out he was in a 3 year relationship with a woman.
I have been concerned about not just the cervical dysplasia but whether or not I should be concerned about anal dysplasia. I have no symptoms of any sort. I'm just looking for some relief from worry that all will be ok. Do these cancers take some time to develop?
