Cancer Treatment in the UK for a Canadian citizen

Less than one minute read time.

Hi - my grandma has been diagnosed with cancer. She had been splitting her time between Canada and Uk since her husband passed. She is a Canadian citizen and is currently in Canada. Does anyone know if she could receive treatment and care in the uk as she is a senior? Her home care would be easier to arrange here. Has anyone seen similar scenarios? Or have any information on how to find out more? Many thanks

    Hi AS1004,

I don't know what the entitlement would be but the Macmillan helpline might know, you can call them on 0808 808 0000, they open at 9am today.

The NHS has This page about people visiting the uk from non EEA areas seeking treatment in England.
