A needle in my arm
A machine dripping, then sounding it's alarm
A nurse sets up the next bag
One down, two to go, I am OK reading my mag
I sit in a comfy recliner chair
I'm next to the window, I daydream and stare
I'm strapped in, wired with pipes
Here with patients, cancer of all types
Half way scan next week
Some good news, I do seek
I would like please, to be well
Without my wig, most people couldn't tell
I make plans, lots more, I have to keep living
I love to love and keep on giving
for those who need or wish to receive it
I am a candle, not ready to burn out - but that needs to stay lit
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
