Well I knew if I tried hard enough eventually I would have a good day! But I never imagined an appointment with the Hospice Nurse would be my definition of a good day! But I took my mum with me and I have noticed that slowly but surely, she is really starting to understand what I am going through and I am starting to really see what she is going through! This, 'living with Cancer' really is tough for everyone!
After the appointment we went to the Cinema, something I haven't done for a while. So that was nice, although feeling drowsy and getting double vision didn't make for the best viewing I have ever had! But mum enjoyed it And that's the main thing!
I know anyone reading this will be thinking "how boring" why does she think that's a 'good' day, she wants to get out more! Well 4.5years ago I would probably of thought the same! See that's what cancer does to you, your priorities change, your expectations change and you have to make the most of what you have!
Right now I have limited energy, very limited. I'm a 42year old in the body of a 92year old. There are many things I want to do, but my body says NO! After discussing stiff painful joints with everyone I can think of and getting no real solutions I've decided that WD40 might be the only answer.......you never know it might work ;-) Alternatively I warm up the joints which then brings on a hot flush.....hmmm which is worse joint pain or sweating buckets. Decisions Decisions!
See Living with Cancer isn't so bad, today I felt pretty good! Maybe tomorrow won't be so good. But let's worry about that then. Right now I am going to enjoy relaxing and thinking about how nice today was! Between you and me today I felt like 'me' again! Even if it was for just a few hours!
