So I went to see my GP about my lump in September 2016. The month I was turning 40. She asked if I'd had a sore throat to which I told her I hadn't. She asked if I'd lost any weight which I had. She told me I'd probably had tonsillitis and my gland had 'forgot' to go back down. I told her I hadn't had tonsillitis but she sent me away reassuring me everything was fine as I wasn't obviously poorly.
I believed her because I didn't feel unwell, maybe a bit tired but not unwell. I carried on with my busy life as normal.
