I received an appointment letter through for 11th April, but I'm surprised because this will be a full four weeks since my surgery. I thought I would find out sooner whether I needed more surgery, if lymph nodes were clear, if the margin had been successfully cleared, if it was going to be chemo and / or radio... so I rang my BC nurse and she said that there were no results yet. Some people say 'no news is good news' but I don't think this is necessarily the case - can anyone else share their experience of getting results with me? Some people I have spoken to said they had a phone call within the week if their lymph nodes were clear, could I still be clear if they're not going to tell me until at least three weeks have passed?
I am trying to convince myself that even if I know now and it's not good news, I can't change the results and I wouldn't be having surgery or chemo just yet as the wound isn't yet healed fully, but part of me just really wants to know whatever the score.
