Hi
My dear 80 year old Mum was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer on 3rd November 2016, it has spread to her fallopian tubes, ovaries, lymph and also affecting her aorta. The last few months have been tough to say the least for her and the family but we are all trying to do our best, and we have had support from her team, MacMillan has been wonderful. She is stoic and trying to protect us all from the reality but she is declining, loosing weight, continuing to bleed, lost her sense of small and taste, is so tired and depressed. Emotionally she is fragile and has good and bad days
All long she has had a terrible cough, not really painful but briniging lots of clear phlegm, three courses of antibiotics, a clear chest X-ray, codeine cough mixture, inhalers and nasal sprays and it just keeps getting worse. She is suffering from loss of sleep due to coughing at night, and urinary incontinent which is all adding to her distress.
Nobody is able/willing to tell us if this is just something she will have to endure, all the meds she has been given haven't helped manage her symptoms. is there anything we can do? Any ideas we will try anything to help ease her suffering, a good nights sleep would be a blessing
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
