I am nearly 52 and waiting to go for a Hysteroscopy and Endometrial Biopsy next Thursday 23rd under General Anesthetic.
I was 48 when I stopped Periods and no Bleeding for 18 month's then every now again for the last year have been having very Heavy Bleeding that would last an hour or two but becoming more frequent in that last week had one Bleed on Tuesday but then Thursday was rushed into Hospital with Haemorrhaging that didn't stop. On Friday I had the Ultrasound, Internal Probe and Chest Ex-ray.
At the beginning of the year did a Three month diary for my Dr but had heard nothing and now have been told I have a Wall Thickening of 19mm and a large mass of an Uncertain nature of the Cervix. I don't know what to think. At the Beginning my GP had said I was Pre-menopausal but now have been told that I have already gone through the Menopause. I have very Limited disability and would prefer not to have to go into Hospital and be put out twice so am Pushing for a Hysterectomy so they can do all in one go. The Consultant has got me on the Two week Rule/Fast Track as in the Ultrasound they could not see my Right Ovary either.
I have had all smear tests but this last one is 3 month's late as everytime I was Bleeding could'nt have one. Last smear 3 yr's ago all Clear.
Just want to know if anyone else has gone through the same and had all done in one go? and what was the Outcome.
Feeling Very Nervous but putting on a Brave face and Glad I looked on here as I want to know what Challenges I could be facing.
