So this blog post is all about something i am really proud of. Something which is still being reviewed all the time. Something which i don't have a lot of involvement in anymore which is actually a good thing.

So Let's Talk About You is a young carers guide produced by Macmillan. I was involved right from the very beginning but i also had to step back.
It is aimed at people aged 12-18 which meant that at my old age of 21, it really was not aimed at me anymore. It was not for me anymore.
My father died in 2001 so really he died too long ago for it to be relevant to most people.
Obviously the experiences affected me but you need to be able to distance yourself.
Which brings me to the point of all this, other than advertising the great work that went in to Let's Talk About You. Sometimes no matter what volunteering you do you need to think is my experience relevant to what am i being asked. Am i being asked for my opinion or a representation of others opinions. If you think they want more than your experience, and you cannot detach yourself from your experiences. Do not feel embarrassed, it just means the situation is not right for you, so talk to who ever manages you.
Find an opportunity that is best for you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
