Havn't updated my blog for a while, so here goes, I had an apt las week with breast surgeon to discuss my reconstruction, he wasn't quite as happy with my surgery site as it still has fluid around, and only finished RT end of May, so he wants to wait a few weeks, so I have apt with breastcare nurse tomorrow, she is going to go through the various options of the types of surgery, (apparently i should of had that discussion before last weeks apt with breast surgeon), definetely having other breast removed at the same time as reconstruction, after various discussions with genetics consultant, oncologist and breast surgeon,the risks of cancer developing are too high especially with my sister getting it TWICE, I don't want to go through reconstruction of the diseased breast to then develop it in the other one, nooo way!!
so... will see what tomorrow brings, another chapter in the book of my 'breast cancer'
