fed up

1 minute read time.
hi, sending thisat 3.55am, give up trying to sleep, what with the dreaded hot flushes the hubby snoring, cos he had a few pints with his mates, and worst of all the pain and discomfort from the mastectomy, wound needs draining yet again, think i' starting to grow my own and won't have to have reconstruction (eventually), i know it will get better, just wanted a moan as i think now ive been out of hospital just over a week everyone thinks im coping well and getting on with things, i am really, but still feel like screaming why me, ive had enough crap last couple of years, my lovely sister dying after car crash, my neice dying not receiving bone marrow transplant, finding out my daughter was victum of domestic violence, in a way didnt mind losing left boob, but would i have need that kind of surgery if i hadn't been missed for mammogram, dunno, letter of apology from hospital didn't make up for it, could of only been a small area of cancer like they initially thought, not 4 inches, didnt think i had that much anyway, going to go now starting to depress myself, as they say, onwards and upwards, tomorrow is another day, theres a lot worse out there , so take no notice of me its just the another sleepless night, i will be ok in the morning. nite nite

    Hi Vivienne,

I know its awful for you right now but honestly it will get better. I Know what you mean about your wound needing draining, I had to go back to the hospital several times to get it drained. Anyway three years and reconstruction later I am doing well. Keep your chin up,

    Jo x

did the wound site get lumpy and painful, i dont know how much discomfort you're meant to be in, did you have a mastectomy and how long was it before you got re-construction, got told this afternoon my older sister who had breast cancer years ago, has found another lump about the size of a grape, she went to dr and he said she would get emergency apt within 2 weeks, its going to be a long fortnight, pleased you're doing well, i went out for a bit fresh air today, retail therapy so feel a bit better, thanks take care.

Hi, sorry to hear you having such a difficult time at the moment and those bl@@dy tubes hanging out of your side are such a bind,  had my op over a year ago and drain was in for just over a week, hold on will soon be out and you can start to feel human again.  Hope you feel better soon.  Take care, Tracy xx
